Lots of online services offer you reverse cell phone lookup, but you usually have to pay them to do it. When you need the information, you normally have to pay a fee according to the number of searches or if you want to access databases and tools you will have to pay a one-time fee.

There is, however, an insider trick to conducting your own free reverse cell phone lookup searches. Take a pen and paper and follow me through this exercise with the number you want to trace.

If you’re like most citizens of this great planet, you probably visit Google, Yahoo or some other search engine on a daily basis (if not daily, at least several times per week). These search engines roam the Internet constantly indexing new websites and web pages into their vast databases. You can harness the power of Google’s search database to conduct your own free reverse cell phone number search.

Everyday, people all over the Internet unknowingly make their unlisted phone numbers and cell phone numbers publicly available over the Internet. How do they do this? Maybe they lost a dog or they’re trying to sell a car and they take out a classified ad in their local newspaper. Most newspapers nowadays publish their entire paper, including the classified section, on their websites. If the person buying the ad put their cell phone or unlisted phone number in the ad, there is a high probability that phone number is now available to search.

Besides newspaper classified ads, people these days use cell numbers to register on websites, take part in message boards and a whole host of additional online undertakings. Every time a number is entered, a search engine spider logs it.

What does this mean to you when trying to do a reverse search from cell phone information? Pull up your favorite search engine and enter the phone number you need information for. Keep in mind you want to try multiple variations when searching for a phone number. For example, some people write their phone number in a format like 555-555-5555 while others will put it down as 555.555.5555. There are as many ways to enter this information as there are people who enter it.

Put various entries into the search engine. Try it with and without quotation marks as this will sometimes help you get better search results. This has been proven to assist in getting more thorough search results almost half the time, although it’s time consuming to think about all the different ways a phone number may be entered.

Once you get the right number, check the site it’s on to find out if there are any hints as to the cell number owner’s name. If you only find the number listed, then you’re back to square one. Other times you’ll get only a first name and no last name.

Sometimes you hit the jackpot and get the full name, address and more of the owner. Like I mentioned earlier, it can take hours to get to this point. If you don’t have hours to invest in conducting your own free reverse cell phone lookup, I suggest considering one of the other services available to make your search faster.

At LookUpTelephoneNumber.net, you will find information on lookup a telephone number, look up telephone number, and look up telephone number with address.

Many of us feel compelled in this day and age to seek out the identity of a caller from a cell number we don’t recognize. Some of us would have come across websites, which claim to do a reverse number search for you. Do you wonder why one would want to use such a service? Alternatively, under what circumstances are such sites of help? Here are some examples for you.

One of the most common situations that many of us face today is the trouble caused by prank calls. Cell phones offer these mysterious people a weapon which they can use for this purpose. The kind of privacy that these companies provide to their subscribers, many people with not so genuine intentions is having a field day. If you are one of the many suffering the plight of having to change your number because of such goons, then this service is your ultimate resort. It is just a matter of a couple of clicks and you get to know the identity of the stranger who has been tormenting you. This can be a great help to you.

Use of these services is involved in a situation where you are trying to trace a long lost relative or friend. All you have to do is to feed the number, if you have an old one, into a good reverse lookup service and you will receive all the required information within no time. The quality and kind of service provided by the reverse lookup service, that you have chosen, affects the information that you may receive. The best reverse lookup service will give you all the details like the name of the person, the current residential address in the records of the service provider, other contact number(s) if there are any, the gender, the date of birth, records of previously held contact numbers if any, etc. What more information would one want? You can figure out for yourself, the benefit of these services while trying to trace an old friend or an important contact whose number you deleted by chance but cannot retrieve.

There are many more examples that we can cite here. May be it is that strange number that your husband keeps dialing on frequently of late. Now you know how to find out the identity of the mystery person. Or, probably you could even be thinking of hiring a new house help or an employee at work! Now you know where to do a background check.

A good reverse cell number lookup service is the best way to trace any unknown number in just a couple of minutes. There are all sorts of advantages to this, which you are undoubtedly able to figure out on your own. Lastly, do not hesitate to pay a nominal fee for using a good reverse phone lookup service instead of wasting your time on a free one- they are of no use. Moreover, the credible services ask for money only because they pay to the phone companies for their latest databases.

It’s amazing how many people ask me this same question . They can’t seem to find any free people search engines . The reason for that is very simple one: There isn’t such thing as a 10)% free people search engine . It simply doesn’t exist . I would dare to say that less than 1% of the websites on the entire internet are ‘100% free’.

Why would a make such a bold assumption? Ever heard someone say: “Nobody gives you 100% free lunch”? ? It’s the same case for the web . Most websites on the internet usually make money via advertising (banners, text ads) or the freemium model – most of their stuff is free but they also have stuff they offer for a premium price . I’m talking about sites most people believe to be free.

ZabaSearch.com is a very good example as one of the most popular ‘people finder’ websites on the internet . The only ‘free section’ they have is the ’search by name’ box. The other sections like ’search by email’ or ’search by phone number’ redirect you to Intelius which is a paid background check/public records search website .

Same case with WhitePages . If you’re from US then you have probably heard about them, they’re one of the top 100 most popular websites in the world and have the best database of various data on people. They use 2 models:

If you search for someone’s name, they give you the address for free but in order to obtain the phone number you need to register

The reverse email check service is powered by MyLife and White Pages gets commission by every free user they refer to MyLife

So far I haven’t seen any free people search engine which is 100% free (without ads, a registration requires, ‘premium’ features or a product they sell). The owners of those sites build the sites with a particular purpose. The primary purpose is making money. If you ask me, there isn’t anything wrong with that.

So what can you do? It’s good that although those services are not maybe 100% free, most of them are 85-99% free! . For a start, check out this list of websites if you want to locate someone .

The Android Operating System was released as an open source system on 21 Oct 2008. Google opened up the full source code including network and telephony stacks under an Apache License. With an Apache License, developers can add propriety extensions without presenting those back to the open source community. There have been many updates to the Android operating system since.

After April 2009 there were several new characteristics and UI updates that came with in the 1.5 update. It has the power to record and watch video recordings through camcorder mode. Video recordings can be uploaded to YouTube and images to Picasa directly from the phone. A new soft-keyboard with text-prediction is a very useful tool to have. It had the support for Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP, ability to link up to a Bluetooth headset automatically within a certain distance, new widgets and folders that can populate the Home screens and animated screen transitions. All these were available 1.5 Cupcake based on Linux Kernel 2.6.27.

The 1.6 Donut based on Linux Kernel 2.6.29 got launched on Sept 2009 and had several new features . It had an improved Android Market Experience and an integrated camera, camcorder and gallery interface . The gallery enabled the users to choose multiple pics for deletion. It also featured an updated Voice Search, with faster reaction time and deeper integration with native application programs that included the power to dial contacts, updated search experience that allowed for looking up of bookmarks, history, contacts and accessing the internet from the home screen. Updated technology support for CDMA EVDO, 802.1 xVPNs and a text-to-speech engine took the characteristics of this phone to a different level. It had WVGA screen resolutions support, speed advancements in searching, camera applications programmes and also had a Gesture framework and GestureBuilder development tool.

Oct 2009 saw the launch of the 2.0 Éclair SDK. It optimized hardware speed, supported more screen sizes and resolutions, revamped UI, had new browser and HTML5 support, new contact listings, better white-black ratio for backgrounds, improved Google Maps 3.1.2, support for Microsoft Exchange, built in flash for camera, digital zoom, and MotionEvent class exchange to track multi-touch events. Improved virtual keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 and live wallpapers are more of its list of improved features. This release was eventually followed with the launch of 2.0.1 SDK on December 2009 and 2.1 SDK on Jan 2010.

The release of Android 2.2 Froyo SDK on May 2010 made great improvements for all existing and new features. Optimizations were made in the general Android OS speed, memory and performance. There were also additional application program speed improvements, Chrome’s V8 engine was incorporated into the Browser application, Microsoft Exchange support (like security policies, auto discovery, GAL look up, calendar synchronization , remote wipe) was increased. Application launcher with shortcuts to the Android Phone and Browser applications was also improved and it also supported the functionality of USB tethering and WiFi hot spot. It has an added option to disable data access over mobile network, updated market application with batch and automatic update features . It has a quick switch between multiple keyboard languages and their dictionaries and also supports voice dialing and contact sharing over Bluetooth.

Nielsen recently published their report on the status of smartphone users and demographics in the US and there are some interesting statistics and observations worth sharing.

First up, as of Q1-10, the data shows that 23 % of mobile consumers now have a smartphone, up from just 16 % in Q2-09.

And out of these smartphones, guess which OSes dominates the market? If you said iPhone, well you are not far from the truth but in fact, Blackberry still ranks No. 1 in marketshare, followed by iPhone, and then by Windows Mobile, before Android comes in at No. 4.

It should be observed that between Q4-09 and Q1-10, Android market share and iPhone’s share of the smartphone market increase by 2 % each, smartphone leader Blackberry suffered a lost of 2 % share, while Microsoft’s Windows Mobile OS also suffered a lost of 2 % to decrease to 19 %. Now, from this data , one of the possible observations is that although there is a great deal of hype about Android being better than iPhone and vice versa, it seems that they are not cannibalizing each other market share! Instead, the ones that lose out are Blackberry and Windows Mobile. This observation is further confirmed by the information which demonstrates the commitment of existing users to their mobile OSes.

From the data on OS loyalty, 80 % of iPhone users want their next device to run iPhone OS while 70 % of Android users want another Android device . In comparison, only 47 % of Blackberry users want another Blackberry and 34 % of Windows Mobile users want another Windows Mobile device . This data also shows that the degree of OS loyalty in iPhone and Android users are much higher than that of other OS users.

One more interesting observation but which is not shown directly in the information is that out of the existing Android and iPhone users who would like to switch operating systems , the rate at which existing Android users would like to try iPhone is twice as high as that of existing iPhone users who would try Android. Before iPhone supporters rejoice , please bear in mind that iPhone users currently numbered 3 times as much as Android users. This will mean that in absolute terms , more existing iPhone users will not mind changing to an Android phone for their next smartphone.

From the collected information, if you correlate the age of Android users with the information for income grades, you will detect some interesting trends. Android users tend to be somewhat younger than their iPhone peers – 55 % of Android users are under the age of 34 — while just 47 % of iPhone users fall within the same demographic. As is usually the case, age is also a prime determining factor of income and education. Thus, this will imply that Android users are somewhat less affluent and less educated generally.

The fact that iPhone users tend to be slightly older than Android users should not come across as a surprise. Considering that Apple has, for the past 10 yrs, been nurturing a group of loyal and die hard fans of its iPods and its Macs, it was not hard to see the same type of loyalty shift to the next prominent merchandise of Apple – the iPhone. For the Android and related Android news however, it only has a history of 2 + yrs. During these 2 years , the consumer groups that would have been more willing to shift to the Android platform will most likely be :

A) The younger generation who is currently mulling to purchase their first smartphone.

B) The existing group of consumers who are not THAT loyal to their existing OS brand (the non-iPhone brands).

C) Existing consumers who do not have a smartphone but are currently using a normal mobile phone.

If there are a bigger proportion of users coming from Group A, then this might explains the relatively young average age of Android users.

From the usage profile information, we can see that iPhone customers are more likely to have downloaded a game or played online games, but Android users appear to be using their phones for a broad range of activities. For the categories that have more tangible differences , we can see the following :

- iPhone has approximately 10 % more usage than Android in online gaming, and has around 5 % more in five other categories (Email, App Downloads, Game Downloads, Mobile Commerce, and Full Track Music Downloads).

- Android has about 10 % more usage than iPhone in SMS, MMS, Ringtone Downloads, and Wallpaper Downloads. Android also has around 5 % more usage than iPhone in seven other categories (Location based services, Text alerts, Uploads, Image downloads, Instant messaging, Video mobile TV, and Video messaging).

This matches the profile of the relatively younger Android users as these users are more prone to make use of their phones for interaction with their friends. From this data however, we can also prove that unfortunately for Android, it means that the quality and quantity of game apps on the Android platform have a lot of catching up to do! .

That being said, the amount of advancement and market share that Android enjoys after just coming into play for 2 + yrs is just astonishing. For the next 2 yrs, will one expect the market share of Android users to surpass that of the iPhone? That is anyone’s guess at the moment.

There is no better way to expend extra money than buying new firms. Well, at least, this is what Google did. Especially if the new company just started operations and you know very well that it will be an immense winner. If they are willing to sell, why not take hold of the chance ?

Unfortunately, many of these companies that got bought over exit with a prompt and sudden death in the hands of their new owners . Generally, nobody ever seen or learnt of anything about these firms or their products again. Fortunately for us though, when Google took over Android Inc, this predicament did not happen to them.

What the selected few did know is that this company has some of the most sophisticated software package, and Google saw a opening from which they are picking the fruits today.

Without truly knowing how successful Android will become, Andy Rubin, one of the founders of Android Inc Company, and now VP of Engineering for Google, has this to say in 2003 regarding the company and the product.

“There was tremendous potential in developing smarter mobile devices that are more aware of its owner’s location and preferences. If people are smart, that information starts getting aggregated into consumer products….”

As time passes however, it was not Google which revolutionised the mobile smartphone. Rather, it was Apple that went on to launch the iPhone and which in turn become an immense success globally. Rumors become increasingly rampant that Google, in a bid to challenge the status quo, would be coming out with their own handset . A handset that will even outdo the performance of iPhone! Many were guessing that we will see the birth of a Google phone soon — one that will function around location-based services and implement a whole host of Google Labs’ ideas, as well as Google Maps and GMail.

Google is a very large search engine firm and it is difficult to believe that they will not come up with something better and more advanced than what the other firms have to sell during that time. Technology is after all their trade and with the resources they have available, we might very well see something new. This is something that the media clung to so that they can inform anyone the instant there is any news.

Thanks to the simple fact that SMS (short messaging service) marketing or mobile marketing can be an inexpensive and extremely reliable way to reach customers, no other medium except television and radio has had this sort of far reaching effect in targeting audiences. By using a SMS marketing campaign, you can reach a lot of people in just seconds, and they will get and read your text message as figures confirm that more than 90% of most text messages are read by the person who’s phone has received the text.

SMS advertising is simply context-based target marketing. It is contextual because your ads only go to the people you wish to get them – those people that are more likely to buy the item and or services you are selling. SMS marketing is often incorporated into a well thought out advertising campaign.

The most difficult element of any business concept is to obtain an exhaustive database of people and being able to send them text messages that are not viewed as spam. You can locate providers online who, for a small fee, can provide you with a database consisting of millions of members who are willing to receive your messages and act upon them. Marketing simply couldn’t get more targeted or effective than that, don’t you agree?

A SMS marketing campaign can be extremely economical when compared to traditional techniques such as running a television ad or taking out high-priced newspaper advertisements. SMS advertising is time-based, which means that you can send out your promotions at the actual time that you believe they’ll have the best impact. For example, if you promote sporting goods, sending out promotions using text messages minutes before the Super Bowl will be aired might be very successful. Since almost everyone has their mobile phone with them constantly, which means that your promotions will likely be read shortly after submitting them.

If you take this one step further and offer the grateful recipients an incentive for acting within a specific time period, you should notice a boost in sales pretty quickly. You could even use this type of advertising to ask people their views about your products as a way to be sure of what it is they really want.

Mobile phone marketing is the latest trend that is most likely going to change the way that marketers contact targeted customers. A SMS marketing campaign can be used by businesses of all sizes and it’s also an effective way for decision makers to keep a finger on the pulse of particular audiences. Keeping in touch with your customer base and offering regular updates concerning your business is a terrific way to establish trust and brand your name.

Being an Internet marketer, you should be ready to try out new platforms as much as possible so that you can reach out to your target audience in more than one way. Businesses reflect the people who own them, and the really smart online business owners look everywhere for marketing possibilities, and that includes outside the web.

The advertising and profit opportunities being experienced, today, within the mobile marketing arena are just exciting because it’s still relatively untapped and certainly not saturated. As with anything that is new to you, personally, it’s best to have a little patience and pick-up as many solid tips and advices as possible, first. Before you cut loose on the mobile world, at least read this article because we have some excellent mobile marketing tips for you.

When you begin your own mobile marketing campaigns, be sure you take the extra time and effort to preserve an organized record of contact information for your prospects. There is no particular method that is better than the other, so we’ll just suggest you find something that works best for you. Try to use all the contact data you have on your prospects and keep that for further use because you can use it in a variety of ways.

Look at the time you’re sending out your text messages; don’t send them out at midnight, no matter what age group you’re targeting with your mobile marketing. Send any special reminder texts maybe 4 hours ahead, tops, because people are so busy and will forget if you send it on Monday for something with a Wednesday deadline. Also, keep track of the times you do send text messages, and you may notice a pattern as to which time is associated with the best response. You may try looking at contact information and any demographics information that may provide some insight about this.

If you want a short mobile marketing shelf life, then just text them without having them opted in to receive your text ads. That is the classic n00b mistake, and it’s a doozy, too. Don’t do it. If you ever hope to succeed with mobile marketing, then you have to lose the idea that it’s ok to send them what amounts to spam texts. Just keep that in mind, but if you don’t believe us, we understand. Give it a shot and see how it goes.

These mobile marketing tips are not too hard to learn, but there is a certain learning curve when you try anything new. If you stick to these principles, you should be able to make the most of your campaigns. These ideas should help you to get off the ground in this new venture and start launching some profitable campaigns. There is little doubt that mobile marketing is going to be a huge force in the near future, so make sure you are here to take advantage of this.
